Marie Curie Nurse Thankful For Bingo Funds
A charity nurse has thanked a national bingo hall chain for its donation of funds after a series of fund raising events.Cath Hudspeth, who works for Marie Curie Cancer Care in Somerset, has personally thanked Mecca Bingo for its efforts, saying the money raised will help the organisation to continue to support its patients. In a letter to staff and customers at Mecca Bingo in Taunton and Bridgwater, which was published by This Is Somerset, the nurse said:
“An enormous amount of hard work and generosity has contributed to The Rank Group raising over £500,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care. This enables more Marie Curie Nurses, like me, to provide free care to local people with terminal cancer and other illnesses in their own homes.”The support of Mecca Bingo is enabling us to do this for more people – and they have just confirmed that they are going to support us for a third consecutive year in 2012 which is wonderful news.”
